My name is Svetlana Novikova.  I am an Austin based artist, caricaturist and illustrator, versatile in multiple mediums, including digital caricatures and illustration.  I loved drawing since young age.   I received Fine Art and Business degress from the University of Maine, and have been working as a professional artist for over 20 years, specializing in impressionism, figurative work and animal portraiture.  Some of my artwork has been featured in various publications including Artist's magazine, Southwest Art magazine, Austin Woman magazine, etc.  I've done hundreds of commissions, including a custom artwork for Texas Governor's Mansion.  I 've also been teaching Art in private schools and conducting Art workshop.

I've been always fascinated with cartooning and caricatures, and 10 years ago I was introduced into the world of live event caricature by a fellow artist, and my life hasn't been the same since.  I love personal interaction with people when drawing them at the events (and now virtually too). I like to make people smile and have a great time, and my style is fast and fun.  I use my artistic skills to capture people's likeness and personality quickly and in a whimsical way.  I also enjoy drawing kids and pets caricatures, and do commission artwork.  I now also offer Live Event painting, live sketches and illustration, Adult and kids art parties, team-building workshops, face painting, glitter tattoos, ballon twisting and other enterainment.  My team or artists and performers will make your event exciting and memorable.  Please visit my FINE ART website for more information about my Bio and Professional artwork and projects -  www.SvetlanaNovikova.com
